6. Times Square
One of the most visited places in NY, now if you love NY but don't love the tourism that hits Times Square I get you but there are still some worth visiting places in Times Square that you can make exceptions for! One of the best places in Times Square being Madame Tussauds the wax museum. From Barack Obama to ghosts from Ghost-busters you really can't go wrong here! Hop on over to their site & grab some tickets before you head into the city! Now other than a wax museum you can do so much more stuff like experience what NY pizza is really like, take the subway, or even get on one of the NY Bus tours.
*If your a guest with us at The Meadowlands View Hotel you can always go to the front desk & speak to someone about buying a ticket for the tour*
7. The Villages
Soho, China town, the East, & West Village are some of the places you could walk around in. Soho is great for those wanting to do some shopping & get a bite to eat in one of the cafes around the area. China town is everyone's second stop they go to after Times Square, so if your trying to go to China town then hop on the B, N, Q, or R train all the way to Canal Street. Now the East Village are sites to be seen! From the art to the beautiful buildings you will be in NY bliss!
Located in Bronx Park, this zoo is one of the biggest metropolitan zoo in the United States & also one of the largest in the world. It is home to 4,000 animals of 650 species, many of which are endangered or threatened. There's a Butterfly Garden, Children's Zoo, & even a Congo Gorilla Forest just to name a few of the things the Bronx Zoo offers its guests! If your NY visiting for the weekend then the Bronx Zoo would be one of the best places to go to!
9. Brooklyn Bridge
One of the oldest roadway bridges in the US, this bridge has been a tourist attraction for years! Every year people come to the Brooklyn Bridge to walk across, take some amazing blog/Instagram photos, & even pop the question on the bridge to their love. This bridge is a must see attraction just like the Bull in Wall Street, you just can't visit NY & not walk the bridge. So what are you waiting for? The weather is getting warmer & now is the best time to head into the city & take a brisk stroll across the bridge.
10. Free Shows
Yes I know Free & NY do not make sense, you barely hear anything in NY being free other than the tourist attraction like the Brooklyn Bridge or walking around the Villages, but there are free shows you can go to! Do you have a favorite day time or late night show you've always wanted to be in? Well you actually can go see one live! Shows like the Trevor Noah Show & Wendy Williams are absolutely free to the public. Now there's a catch, I know all good things come with some sort of price right?, to see the shows live it is a first come first serve. So if you really want to see them live I suggest you get there early & wait until the doors open!
